GUSTAV HEAVY RAIL GUN Custom Built 1:35th scale 4 foot long Model

Description

This is an old custom built model of a WW2 German Heavy Railway gun

Model is approx 48 inches long,    1/35 scale approx.

Gun barrel is 30 inches (750mm) long

It is constructed from heavy gauge brass with hardwood deck boards and tool boxes

It is a substantial model

I have no history but would imagine that it is 1950s from build quality

(It has been suggested that it could be of WW2 manufacture)

Brass has many years of toning

name plate is machine engraved hard plastic/composite material

 

There has no noticeable damage but will need a few minor repairs

There are a couple of poor repairs to handrails that would look much better re-fixed properly

It is mounted to two O gauge hand built rails on timber plinth

Included are several plastic (Tamiya?) figures, these not originally with the gun

This is only a model and cannot be used

There are a few moving parts, gun elevation, Lifts to top deck etc., all very basic
